📑 Activate the Legacy Text Import in MS Excel

  1. Open a blank Excel workbook

  2. Click on “File > Options” and open the Excel Options dialog

  3. Find the section “Data” and in the section “Show legacy data import wizards”, activate “From Text (Legacy)”

  4. Click OK

📑 Import CSV files using the Legacy Text Import

  1. Open a blank Excel workbook

  2. Click the "Data" field in the upper menu

  3. Select "Get Data > Legacy Wizards > From Text (Legacy)"

  4. Choose the CSV file you want to import and click import

  5. In step 1 of the dialog choose option "Delimited" for the original data type, and check the box "My data has headers.", then click on "Next"

  6. Choose "Comma" as the delimiter type in Step 2

  7. Click on "Finish", then "OK" to insert the data into the workbook

  8. Check that your decimal data has been imported correctly
